Note: The maximum filling capacity is calculated based on the boiling point of the liquid under normal atmospheric pressure. The actual filling capacity is influenced by the liquid temperature and pressure inside the container, typically around 95% of the maximum theoretical filling capacity, and approximately 90% for natural gas.

Construction and Design:

The Dewar cylinder features an inner tank and outer shell made of stainless steel, with a stainless steel inner tank support system that enhances strength and minimizes heat loss. A thermal insulation layer between the inner tank and outer shell, combined with multi-layer insulation materials and high vacuum, ensures extended liquid storage duration.

Built-in Vaporizer and Supercharger:

A built-in vaporizer converts cryogenic liquid into gas, while the built-in supercharger maintains a stable pressure, enabling rapid and consistent usage. Each insulated gas cylinder is equipped with a stainless steel ring structure (protection ring) to safeguard the pipeline. The protective ring is connected to the cylinder with four slotted brackets, facilitating the use of trolleys and cranes for transportation.

Operational Convenience:

All operational components are conveniently located on the top of the cylinder, allowing for easy control. In an independent use environment, users can effectively manage the process through the discharge valve, booster valve, pressure gauge, and liquid phase valve.

Safety Mechanisms:

To ensure the inner liner remains below safe pressure levels, each cylinder is equipped with a safety valve and a rupture disk.

Advantages:

  1. Low Heat Loss and High Strength: The stainless steel support system minimizes heat loss and enhances strength.

  2. Ease of Use: Designed for single-person operation.

  3. Large Storage Capacity: A DP175 Dewar cylinder can store gas equivalent to more than 18 standard high-pressure gas cylinders.

  4. Low Pressure Rise Rate: The high-performance insulation system ensures minimal pressure rise during the deactivation phase, often eliminating the need for pressure reduction via the safety valve.

  5. Continuous Supply: The built-in supercharger and vaporizer enable continuous gas or liquid supply without the need for an external vaporizer within the designed dosage.

Special Notes:

  • Natural Gas Filling: Use double safety valves and eliminate the rupture disc in the inner tank.

  • Pressure Regulation: Adjusting the top screw of the combined pressure regulator does not accelerate pressurization. Improper adjustment can damage the valve.

Combination Pressure Regulating Valve:

This valve serves dual functions of pressure regulation and air conservation. It converts cryogenic liquid into saturated vapor, maintaining a stable pressure within the cylinder. During gas use, it preferentially discharges high-pressure gas to prevent loss through the safety valve.

Gas Use Valve:

Connected to a built-in vaporizer, this valve provides vaporized gas and requires a CGA fitting compatible with the supplied gas.

Inlet and Outlet Valve:

Controls the loading and unloading of cryogenic liquid, allowing users to connect to the CGA connector for filling and discharging.

Booster Valve:

Manages the built-in booster circuit, enabling pressurization of the cylinder when opened.

Drain Valve:

Connected to the gas phase chamber, this valve releases gas and reduces pressure when opened.

Pressure Gauge:

Displays the cylinder's pressure in psi or MPa.

Level Gauge:

A floating-rod spring type gauge that approximates the cryogenic liquid level, though accurate measurement requires weighing.

Safety Devices:

The cylinder liner includes a first-stage safety valve and a second-stage rupture disc to protect against overpressure. The safety valve releases pressure from normal heat leakage or accelerated heat leakage under fire conditions. If the safety valve fails, the rupture disc activates to ensure cylinder safety.

Additional Notes:

  • Natural Gas Filling: Use double safety valves and eliminate the inner tank rupture disc. Overpressure protection is provided by a vacuum plug.

  • Vacuum Plug: If the inner tank leaks, the vacuum plug opens to relieve pressure. Leakage destroys the interlayer vacuum, potentially causing "sweating" or frosting on the shell.

  • Warning: Never remove the vacuum plug under any circumstances.

  • Bursting Discs: These are single-use and must be replaced after activation. Replacement discs are available from our company.
