The Microbulk Liquid Oxygen Storage Tank is a state-of-the-art jacket-type vacuum multilayer insulation cryogenic pressure vessel, designed for the efficient storage and supply of cryogenic liquefied gases such as LOX (Liquid Oxygen), LAR (Liquid Argon), and LN2 (Liquid Nitrogen). This innovative vessel is compact yet robust, ensuring the safe and effective management of these essential gases.

A key feature of the tank is the external gasifier, which facilitates easy pressure boosting within the tank. This integrated system allows for the direct supply of pressurized gas, streamlining operations and enhancing overall efficiency.

Hospitals increasingly rely on bulk oxygen tanks for several critical reasons: ensuring an immediate supply during oxygen line failures, providing additional oxygen to handle unexpected emergencies, accommodating future construction and physical plant changes, and managing unusual spikes in oxygen demand. At DGL, we collaborated with an architect from the Cleveland area to deliver comprehensive design services for the new Bulk Oxygen Tank at Promedica Memorial Hospital in Fremont, Ohio. Our team handled all aspects of the survey, including establishing horizontal and vertical control, recording boundary and right-of-way data, and conducting topographic field surveys. This detailed survey information served as the foundation for our civil engineering team, which designed and graded the new concrete drive/parking area, replacing the existing asphalt between the existing building and tank enclosure. Additionally, we designed the concrete slab for the new tank and associated equipment, and provided detailed fencing and security designs for the new fence enclosure around the equipment.
